Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your data from HackNao English, in line with Apple App Store and Google Play requirements.
No account is required. HackNao English does not have user accounts and does not store your personal data on our servers. All your data — recordings, progress, and preferences — is kept locally on your device, so you are always in control of it.
Delete specific data inside the app
- Recordings — open the recording list and delete individual recordings you no longer want.
- Learning progress & test history — use the reset option in Settings to clear your streak, stats, and saved CEFR results.
- Imported lesson packs — remove any teacher-shared shadowing or listening packs you imported.
Delete all data
Because all data is stored locally, you can remove everything created by the App by uninstalling it:
On Android
- Go to Settings → Apps → HackNao English, then tap Storage & cache → Clear storage to wipe all local data, or
- Long-press the app icon and choose Uninstall to remove the App and its data entirely.
On iOS
- Long-press the HackNao English icon, choose Remove App → Delete App. This deletes the App and the data it stored on your device.
Uninstalling the App permanently removes the recordings, progress, and preferences it created in local storage. This action cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep (for example, your CEFR results PDF) first.
What we keep
We do not maintain server-side accounts or copies of your recordings, transcripts, or learning progress, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side. If you previously contacted our support team by email, you may ask us to delete that correspondence (see below).

If you would like assistance deleting your data, or written confirmation that we hold no server-side data about you, contact us and we will respond within 30 days:
