Frequently asked questions
Does HackNao English work offline?
Yes. Vocabulary, dictation, the CEFR test, and the on-device AI coach all work without a connection. Streaming lessons (e.g., shadowing or listening content from YouTube) need internet to load.
Where do my voice recordings go?
They stay on your device. Speech recognition and grammar analysis run locally — your audio is never uploaded to us. See the Privacy Policy for details.
The microphone isn't working. What should I do?
Open your device Settings → HackNao English and make sure the Microphone permission is enabled. Then restart the App and try recording again.
How do I change the app language or theme?
Open Settings inside the App. You can switch the interface between English, Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese, and choose Light, Dark, or System appearance.
How accurate are the AI feedback and CEFR estimates?
They are generated automatically on-device and are meant for practice and guidance. They are not a certified assessment or a substitute for a qualified teacher.
How do I delete my data?
You can clear recordings and reset progress in the App, or remove everything by uninstalling it. See the Account & Data Deletion page.
